At greenbike.ca's sole discretion, these terms and conditions may be changed without prior notice at any time before greenbike.ca accepts your order.
Disclaimer of Warranty
When products are delivered to you, their limited warranties applicable to products are in effect and are included with the shipment. Certain products may have additional warranties provided by the original manufacturer but not by greenbike.ca.
On our web site our products are sold, "as is" when PDI is not included which does not have any warranty from greenbike.ca (other than those warranties implied by and incapable of exclusion, restriction or modification under applicable law)
Payment Shipping and Handling Charges and Taxes
You are responsible for any taxes or tariffs associated with your purchase.
Prices
Prices shown on the greenbike.ca's site do not include shipping and handling. Neither do the prices include taxes unless otherwise noted. All prices are in Canadian dollars. The price charged for an order will be the price in effect at the time the order is made.
1) Installation and assembly of front and/or rear wheels, steering column, basket, lights, pedals, and batteries. 2) Adjustments of brakes, throttles, chain, seat, and other moving parts. 3) Testing of all electrical parts including battery charger, horn, lights, speedometer, etc. 4) Testing of all mechanical parts. 5) Charging the batteries. 6) Test run. 7) Tighten all nuts and bolts. 8) Training session on Rider Safety, Handling and Maintenance.
*** If PDI is not taken then there is no Warranty Coverage
Post Sale Inspection Once a purchase is made we ask all customers to bring their new ebikes back to the store for service after 2 weeks of riding. It is mandatory that your new ebike comes in for final adjustments and inspections. Even new bicycle parts tend to go loose after a few times riding. There is no charge for this service.
Road-side Assistance - $ 60.00 Road-side is only available to greenbike.ca customers. It is the rider's responsibility to bring the ebike to greenbike.ca if service and/or repair is needed. If the rider cannot bring the ebike to the store then Road-side Assistance is available to all customers within reason. For example, if the rider gets a flat tire, a greenbike.ca technician will do the repairs wherever the ebike is located. However,greenbike.ca will not send a technician if: - (1) the weather or climate is not feasible such as rain, snow, and cold temperatures. - (2) the time is outside business operating hours. Road-side Assistance is only available from 9am - 7pm. Roadside Assistance may not be available on Sundays and Statutory Holidays. - (3) the location is too far. Road-side Assistance is a limited service and may not be available to everyone at a certain time due to backlogs. Road-side Assistance is not a home service for tune ups and electrical breakdowns. You are required to bring your ebike to the store where all our tools are accessible in repairing and maintaining your ebike. Road-side Assistance is not free. Other charges such as parts and labor are extra in addition to the Road-side Assistance charge.
Service Rate The hourly rate for repairing products out of warranty is: $ 60 per hour with a one hour minimum
Tune up service rate for greenbike.ca ebikes with regular brush less motors: $60
Tune up service rate for other brands with geared motors: $95
Cost of Written Estimate $50 flat fee, paid ahead of time, which will be waived if customer decides to go ahead with repair. Customer will receive a written quote of length of labor and parts required to fix the problem.
Cost of Comprehensive Warranty and Extended Warranty: Standard Comprehensive Warranty - From 3 months to 1 year total coverage not including batteries which has 3 months coverage (included in the $100 charge for PDI ) $295.00 and up - Additional Comprehensive Warranty - additional 12 months total coverage including batteries on selected models
Standard Comprehensive Warranty covers manufacturer's defects of all parts and labor up to 1 year from the time of purchase. Coverage includes batteries up to 3 months, power train, controller, and mechanical parts.
Flat tires if punctured, light bulbs, wear and tear, lack of maintenance, accidents or collisions, misuse, abuse, neglect, damage incurred from accidents, floods, salt and other foreign debris or chemicals, and extreme cold temperatures are NOT covered by the comprehensive warranty. Your warranty is covered by the Pre-Delivery Inspection and Assembly Charge (PDI). If PDI is not taken then there is no Comprehensive Warranty Coverage, however, a 3 months Parts Warranty will be included. Allow for a minimum of 24 hours for PDI/Assembly, at which time test and trial runs are conducted on the products to ensure all systems are safe and operable. Allow for at least 24 hours for warranty and estimate examination, and at least 5 business days for repair.
Extended Warranty - AdditionalComprehensive Warranty is extended another 6 months in addition to the standard Comprehensive Warranty coverage for a total of 18 months coverage of parts and labor from the date of delivery on all Manufacturer's defective parts but not including batteries.
Reasons for Voiding or Cancellation of Warranty:
- Comprehensive Warranty is automatically void or canceled if you take our product to another dealer for repair, check up or for any other reason, during your warranty period.
- Comprehensive Warranty is automatically void or canceled if the customer fails to do timely service and/or preventive maintenance on the ebike at greenbike.ca as stated on the sales invoice at the time of purchase. Operating an ebike without doing the regular maintenance can be dangerous and or lethal.
- Comprehensive Warranty is automatically void or canceled if parts are replaced and if tampering is evident such as modification to the product.
- Comprehensive warranty is automatically void or canceled if the product has been in a serious accident that's affected the major components of the operation of the product.
- Comprehensive Warranty is automatically void or canceled if the Tracking Identification Number is erased, scratched or removed from the frame of the product.
- Comprehensive Warranty is automatically void or canceled if the Tracking ID Number does not match the ID number of the motor.
- Comprehensive Warranty is automatically void or canceled if there is evidence of abuse, misuse, and/or neglect.
- Comprehensive Warranty is automatically void or canceled if there is evidence that the damage to the ebike is a result of exposure to floods, salt and other foreign debris or chemicals.
- Comprehensive Warranty is automatically void or canceled if the PDI/Assembly charges are not accepted at the time of purchase.
Foreign Products (products not originally sold by greenbike.ca) will be considered for repair if the product is made by the same greenbike.ca manufacturer. Every product is different so every foreign repair will be considered on a case by case basis.
Parts Warranty - All products purchased are 3 months Parts Warranty .
If replaced parts are found defective the Parts Warranty, we may at our option,
1) exchange or repair the malfunctioning part without receiving the part back from the customer,
2) exchange or repair the malfunctioning part after receiving the part back from the customer or
Returned parts must be 100% complete. However, we may not assemble or PDI the ebike at our discretion, depending on the nature of the purchase agreement.
Note:
Upon receiving the product, you must do your own inspection and test to make sure the ebike is operational and safe to your satisfaction within 24 hours of receiving the product.
Over heating the motor due to excessive weight load will void the warranty. You will be responsible for bringing the product to us and paying for the cost of repair or assembly should this be the situation.
